Day 1:
Terelj National Park, Turtle Rock & Aryabal Meditation Temple
Day 2:
Full-Day Horseback Adventure in Terelj National Park
Your driver will meet you at your hotel in Ulaanbaatar at 9:00 am for a scenic journey to Terelj National Park, just 70 km northeast of the capital. The paved road soon gives way to Mongolia’s wild beauty — towering granite mountains, pine-covered northern slopes, and rolling meadows carpeted with wildflowers.
​
Upon arrival, marvel at Turtle Rock, a massive natural formation shaped over centuries by wind and weather. Continue to the serene Aryabal Meditation Temple, perched high in the hills and once a retreat for Buddhist monks. From here, enjoy sweeping views over the park’s rugged landscapes, where fast-flowing rivers and crystal streams weave between forests and rock outcrops.

In the evening, settle in with a welcoming nomadic family in their traditional ger, sharing a hearty Mongolian dinner and stories by the fire under a starry sky.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Terelj National Park on horseback, riding alongside your experienced local guide through open valleys, forested hills, and flower-dotted meadows.

As you journey deeper into the park, you’ll pass grazing herds, soaring eagles, and tranquil rivers that reflect the endless sky. Midday, take a break to enjoy a picnic lunch in nature before continuing your ride across untouched landscapes.

Throughout the day, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Mongolia’s nomadic way of life — from the care of horses to the traditions passed down for generations. In the evening, return to your ger for a warm dinner and another peaceful night under the stars.

Day 3:
The Genghis Khan Statue Complex & Return to Ulaanbaatar
This morning, we journey to the Genghis Khan Statue Complex at Tsonjin Boldog, home to the largest equestrian statue in the world — an awe-inspiring 40-meter steel monument of Mongolia’s legendary leader astride his horse. From the observation deck atop the horse’s head, take in panoramic views of the sweeping steppe and rugged mountains.

As you explore the complex, immerse yourself in the story of Genghis Khan, the visionary who united the Mongol tribes, revitalized the Silk Road, and built the largest contiguous empire in history. Discover artifacts, traditional costumes, and cultural exhibits that reveal why he remains a national hero and enduring symbol of Mongolian identity.

After soaking in the history and scenery, we’ll drive back to Ulaanbaatar, where your adventure concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.
