Full Itinerary
Day 1:
Terelj national park- Bayan adag
Day 2:
Bayan adag - Blue stone river
Meet your expedition team over breakfast, including your experienced horse guide who will introduce you to your mount and provide a brief riding orientation.
Once in the saddle, our journey begins from Terelj, riding across open valleys and rolling hills toward Bayan Adag.
We’ll pause for a field lunch between 12:00 and 13:00, then continue through the wild landscapes until reaching our first camp.
Tonight, settle into your tent beneath the vast Mongolian sky, with only the sounds of nature around you.

After a fresh field breakfast between 8 and 9 a.m., mount up and set off from Bayan Adag toward the serene Blue Stone River.
Pause to take in the striking hues of the river’s name-sake stones and enjoy a leisurely lunch beside the water.
The adventure continues as you ride onward through sweeping landscapes until you reach Zuugiin Rashaan, where you’ll camp for the night under the open sky.

Day 3-4:
Zuugiin Rashaan to Khavirga pass or Khonog tolgoi
From Zuugiin Rashaan, your journey continues after a hearty breakfast as you pack up and ride toward the dramatic Khavirga Pass or Khonog Tolgoi. Along the way, you’ll pause for a relaxing lunch amidst breathtaking scenery. Arriving at the pass, settle in for two days of exploration—taking short horse rides to discover hidden valleys and panoramic viewpoints. Evenings here are magical, with campfires crackling under endless starry skies, sharing stories and the warmth of the wilderness.

Day 5-6:
Khonog tolgoi - Lichen black Lake
Today’s ride covers approximately 35 km through forests and alongside sparkling rivers, leading you to the stunning Lichen Black Lake, nestled at 1,800 meters amid majestic mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch by the peaceful Khongor River. This lake is a favorite among riders for its serene beauty and abundant wildlife—keep your eyes open for deer, birds, and other creatures. If the weather is warm, take a refreshing swim or try your hand at fishing before settling in for the night under the open sky.

Day 7:
Lichen black lake -Bulgana
On the morning of Day 7, after breakfast by Lichen Black Lake, we’ll saddle up and continue along an adventurous, rugged trail.
Midway, we’ll pause for a field lunch surrounded by nature’s quiet beauty. As the sun begins to set, we’ll reach Galtai Bulganai, where you’ll camp for the night, resting and recharging after another day in the saddle.

Day 8:
Bulganai - Yellow Spring/Shar bulgiin rashaan
On the morning of Day 8, enjoy breakfast before setting off. Along the way, we’ll pause at Yellow Spring (Shar Bulgiin Rashaan) to rest the horses and savor a field lunch.
As evening falls, we’ll pitch camp beside the serene Tuul River, where you can cook dinner and unwind to the soothing sounds of flowing water.
Surrounded by nature’s beauty, drift off to sleep in your cozy tent—feeling truly connected to this wild landscape.

Day 9:
Tuul River - Tsagaan Khotol
On the morning of Day 9, after breakfast by the river, we’ll set out beneath a clear blue sky.
The trail winds through a patchwork of forests and open fields, where you’ll have the chance to spot graceful wildlife along the way. As evening approaches, we’ll make camp at Tsagaan Khotol, settling in for the night surrounded by tranquil nature.

Day 10:
Tsagaan Khotol - Zamt Dawaa
On the morning of Day 10, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and soak in the peaceful surroundings with a short walk before mounting up.
We’ll depart Tsagaan Khotol and journey toward Zamt Davaa, pausing along the way to prepare a field lunch near a scenic mountain pass.
Continuing onward, we’ll stop for dinner at Bosgot Bridge before pitching camp for the night and giving your horse a well-deserved rest.

Day 11:
Back to Ulaanbaatar
On the final day of your riding adventure, we’ll return to the herdsman’s family where your journey first began—or to another beautiful site close by—after traversing countless trails and breathtaking landscapes. Take time to rest and reflect before a comfortable transfer by vehicle back to Ulaanbaatar, where your tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or original pickup point.
This 11-day, 10-night horseback expedition covers roughly 250–380 km through Mongolia’s diverse wilderness. You’ll spend every night camping under the stars, fully immersed in nature. Along the way, you’ll cross rivers, lakes, valleys, mountains, forests, and more—experiencing the true essence of Mongolian horse riding.
